NEWS: Anime Director Satoshi Kon Passes Away
Anime writer/director Satoshi Kon passed away on 24th August 2010, following a fight against pancreatic cancer. He was just 47 years old.
Having started his career as a manga artist, Satoshi went on to become Editor of Young Magazine, before making his first forays into film as a screenwriter. His debut feature as a director, Perfect Blue, became an international hit, and he followed this up with the award-winning Millennium Actress in 2001.
Award recognition continued with Godfathers, before Satoshi created the television series Paranoia Agent. His most recent cinematic release was Paprika (2007).
