“It’s the same old story, I suppose – Hollywood has run out of ideas, playing everything too safe, remaking everything because it has no balls anymore. World cinema is original, takes risks, and doesn’t care whether you like it or not. As a writer, dreaming of coming up with that one idea that could completely change my life, world cinema gives me inspiration and hope - Hollywood has given me Transformers 2 and Michael Bay.”

“I’m a freelance writer from Market Harborough, smack bang in the middle of England (almost said nowhere); I graduated from Bournemouth University with a BA Honours degree in Scriptwriting for Film and Television. Previous writing credits include scripts for animated series’ Albert Asks and Fireman Sam, although the latter was later cancelled before my witty script about a snake escaping in Pontypandy was ever made! I’m currently developing several scripts and stories, juggling that with my day job at the Local Council. My outside interests, other than film, include football, music (love going to gigs), wolves and huskies. Last year I sled across the arctic tundra with a team of huskies to raise money for Dogs Trust. In a few years, I see myself living out in the sticks with huskies, goats and chickens, and I desperately want to move back down south because I love the sea. I miss the sea. That’s the trouble with being stuck in the middle of England!”
