A part-time cinema (4-5 days a week in the evenings) "dedicated to showing the best of new releases of world cinema, plus old classics and cult favourites.”
The cinema opened originally in November 2005, although it closed for five months in 2009 (April-August) until it re-opened under the sponsorship of the Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust (a charity promoting the history of maritime Portsmouth - The Victory, The Mary Rose and The Warrior being the historic ships on display).
The cinema has a 275-seat auditorium (“probably the best in Portsmouth”) with a 30x20 foot screen (“the largest on the South Coast”).” Our particular strength is in showing new releases - and a strong following for French and Spanish cinema.
